Welcome to the Mexican Caribbean! The Riviera Maya, aka the Mayan Riviera, is located on the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico, only minutes away from Cancun’s International airport.
The Riviera Maya features an array of attractions ranging from beautiful white sand beaches, Mayan sites, and the second largest coral reef formation besides the world’s largest underground cave system.
The average high/low temperature in April is around 85°/75°.
Things to Do at the Resort

The official currency is the Mexican Peso (MXP), although the U.S. dollar is accepted almost everywhere. The exchange rate can be approximately 18-20 pesos to US$1.00. Please be sure to check updated rates as we approach the conference dates.
Credit cards are widely accepted except in smaller establishments, so it’s best to travel with travelers’ checks and some cash.
The domestic electric current is 110 volts (the U.S. = 110v; Canada = 120v)
Spanish is the official language and Mayan is the local language, but English, French, Italian and German are also widely spoken.

Please note that the 16% VAT for your room rate will be refunded directly to your credit card. The refund applies to stays during the nights of April 22 to 27, 2020. This 16% VAT will be refunded within 20 business days after checkout. The Front Desk will ask for your passport and tourist card at check-In. (The tourist card is the document given at the airport upon your arrival.) Please make sure to show the same credit card used when you made your reservation.
If you would like to apply for a VAT refund for any goods bought for deportation, you must present receipts for the goods purchased (and possibly proof of your deportation of the goods) to a Mexico VAT refund station (which are often found in airports, tourist offices, or international travel hubs.)

Paradisus Playa del Carmen-La Perla Resort, Cancun, MX
The Paradisus Playa del Carmen is comprised of two adjoining, all-inclusive properties. La Perla is an adults-only luxury resort, while La Esmeralda is a family-friendly resort. Those staying at La Perla have access to both properties. The conference will take place at La Perla.

The Riviera Maya is known for its white sand beaches, including a private beach accessible to hotel guests. Be sure to check out the warm waters during the various breaks throughout the week/weekend!

The Paradisus has a variety of activities to choose from including but not limited to:
- Sports activities (volleyball, Pilates, meditation; sorry, no golf on-site but nearby available)

Where/When to Fly In/Out Of
Please arrange your flights for a final destination of the Cancun International Airport. The conference will kick off on Thursday, Apr 23rd in the early evening so please plan on arriving in time for that, and schedule your departure for Monday, Apr 27th.

Junior Suites: 570 sq. ft. suite has expansive glass doors overlooking the 129 sq. ft. private terrace
- Double occupancy: $194/pp/night (total $388/room)

Swim Up Suites: Same as the Junior Suite, except steps out directly to either your private terrace or just beyond the pool via your own private access.

Extending your stay: Special pricing has been offered to Solatube Premier Dealers; it is the same pricing as above if you stay three days before and three days after based on availability.
Ground transportation will be made for you by Solatube International when you Register for the conference. Please be sure to include your flight details.
Required Travel Documents
You will need a passport that is valid at the time of travel. Your passport should be valid for six months beyond your return date from Mexico (ex: if your return date is April 28, 2020, your
passport should be valid through October 28, 2020).
